Meet The Team!

Molly - Artist/Owner

Hi! I am Molly and I am the lead artist and owner at Celestial Body Arts. I started my tattoo apprenticeship in 2017 by drawing for a local tattoo shop for about 8 months, then came back to it in 2021 for another 4 months before earning my title of artist. I took ownership of the shop in August of 2022 while still shaping myself as an artist. Since 2024, I have earned 10 tattoo awards in many different styles including American Traditional, Color, Floral, B&G, and B&G Realism. My favorite styles do tattoo are American Traditional, Neo Traditional, Watercolor, and Floral. On my days off, I like to spend time with my 3 cats and 3 ball pythons. If I am not home to enjoy their company, I might be cruising around on my Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle.

Caitlin - Apprentice

Hello, my name is Caitlin. I’m apprenticing under Molly, and I’m very excited to be working under my best friend since 7th grade! I enjoy art and have been drawing since grade school. I mainly enjoy color works and neo-traditional styles and I am working towards improving in these styles. I tend to spend a good portion of my time in antique shops looking for radioactive antiques, consuming horror content, reading, and generally being a goofball.

  • Our shop minimum for any custom tattoo is $100. This covers the artist’s supplies and time. While we have a shop minimum, we do offer gumball tattoos starting at $80 (extra for color). This is the only deal we have under shop minimum.

  • Being so Celestial Body Arts is a small shop with 1 working artist, we are an appointment only shop. However, we still hold flash event days with a first-come-first-serve dynamic.

  • At Celestial Body Arts, we do not charge hourly. We typically charge by the piece. Prices can vary depending on size, placement, color, and detail. All become a factor on when we quote out our tattoos. Supplies needed and time is also considered when we price out our pieces.

  • ABSOLUTELY! We love doing custom-tailored pieces for our clients! Don’t fret though; we do offer pre-drawn flash pieces at flat rates for those who like to be a bit more spontaneous with their tattoos!

  • Yes we do! In the city of Bismarck, it is legal for a minor as young as 16 years of age to get a tattoo with written and physical consent of parent and/or legal guardian. We require proof of guardianship (birth cert or legal custody papers) as well as present guardian throughout the entire procedure. We also do not tattoo intimate areas (ex. sternums, breasts, buttocks, genitalia) on minors. These rules are non-negotiable; NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • We try to give everyone what they want when they come in, but we have some boundaries we put in place. We do not tattoo any gang-related, hate, racist, sexist, or non-consented designs whatsoever. We pride our shop in being a safe space for EVERYONE.

  • Tattoo time is exciting and fun, but also taxing on a body. Before your tattoo, make sure to get plenty of rest. Also, eat before and don’t hesitate to bring snacks and beverages with to stay hydrated and keep your blood sugar up. DO NOT DRINK BEFORE YOUR TATTOO! Disclose any medical conditions that may hinder the tattoo or put the artist at risk in case of needle poke (we keep all information confidential and do not disclose any personal information to anyone outside of staff). If there is anything you have questions about, do not hesitate to ask. We want to make sure you have a good experience!

  • The aftercare routine is post-tattoo instructions given to you by your artist to ensure your tattoo heals the best it can. It is important to follow the instructions given to you to make sure nothing goes wrong such as infection, excessive scarring, and fading. When in doubt- call your artist. They are here to help you! Failure to uphold aftercare may result in a touch up charged to you for negligence.

  • Deposits are 100% required for all tattoo appointments except for consultations (free) and touch ups (free for 6 months). The deposit locks in your appointment time and acts as collateral for you to show up. Any deposit put down goes towards your tattoo total at the end of your appointment. If something comes up, we require at least a 24 hour notice if you need to reschedule. Failure to communicate or show up WILL result in forfeited deposit and/or a rescheduling fee of $25.
